You will see a menu list of 11 category bars: People Wizard Search Specialty Search Engines International Invisible Web Launch Case Log Offline Resources Member Site Professional Tips Tools Help BUTTON DEFINITIONS People Wizard – The People Wizard uses four of the major Internet search engines for quick searches for name, address, phone number and e-mail address. Search – The Search category has been divided up into 21 subcategories in which to locate information on topics from adoption to computer viruses. These subcategories are listed beneath the Search bar on the left hand side of the program interface. Simply select a topic and click on the icon to begin your search. Specialty Search Engines – For those times when you want to find more than just web pages and web sites, some of these specialty search sites will prove useful. They'll help you search through newsgroups, databases, find software online and more. By limiting indexing to sites or pages on a subject, specialty engines offer more relevant results in less time. International – The International option offers a collection of web sites from 171 countries around the world. Use these helpful links to locate people and search foreign directories from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe! There are miscellaneous sites for various global interests as well. Invisible Web – The Invisible Web, or the Deep Web, is the vast hidden store of searchable databases that are publicly accessible, but not indexed by major search engines for technical reasons. The largest part of the Invisible Web is made up of information stored in databases that a search engine spider cannot access. The spider can tell you what the page may be about, but cannot access the content of those pages. We have compiled a source of Invisible Web tutorials and resources for your convenience. Allows you to send encrypted messages over the Internet. Search Utility– Once this is chosen, it leaves an Icon on the bottom right hand side of your computer screen, next to your clock.
